What We Do

The Red Shoe Society – Upper Midwest is dedicated to raising awareness for Ronald McDonald House Charities, Upper Midwest (RMHC-UM), while promoting volunteerism and generating financial support.

Networking Events

The Red Shoe Society – Upper Midwest hosts a number of events throughout the year aimed at providing young professionals an opportunity to expand their personal and professional network, while raising awareness for RMHC-UM. Events are held at unique venues throughout the Twin Cities. Past locations include Canterbury Park, local breweries and rooftop patios.

Promoting Volunteerism

By hosting volunteer events at the Ronald McDonald House – Oak Street and RMH – Children's, Minneapolis locations, RSS members are able to directly impact the organization and support the families who rely upon the services of RMHC-UM.

Opportunities include bi-monthly Cooks for Kids events where volunteers prepare and serve meals for families of children being treated for serious medical conditions.

Fundraising

The Red Shoe Society’s networking events generate funds in support of RMHC-UM. Additionally, by offering local young professionals the opportunity to directly impact the organization through volunteerism, RSS hopes to expand Ronald McDonald House Charities, Upper Midwest’s network of donors in order to provide support for years to come.
